Ram Yashvardhan on comparison with Mohit Raina

During the chat, Ram reacts to people drawing parallels between him and Mohit. He says, “Comparisons toh unke saath aaj log karte hai. Aur mujhe lagta hai ki meri shiv ke character ke saath yahi uplabdhi hai. Mohit sir ne bahut acha portray kiya tha. Jab mujhe shiv Shakti mila bhi, maine yeh nahi socha tha ki unse acha karna hai. Jab unse comparisons shuru hogaye toh yahi laga ki the best ke saath aap compare kiye gaye ho, toh wahi ek achievement lagta hai. (I am still compared to Mohit Raina. And I think the biggest accomplishment of portrayal of Shiv’s character is that it is being compared to him. I really consider it an achievement. Mohit portrayed it wonderfully. When I got Shiv Shakti, I never thought that I had to do better than him. But when comparisons started, it felt good to be compared to the best).”

On feeling divine energy on sets

Talking about his experience on sets,, he says, “Shooting for Shiv Shakti is a dream come true and as an actor I always enjoy being on the sets. But talking about being on mythological sets, they are actually lit up. When we are actually doing the scenes, all characters are there with each other and lines are being delivered, at that time, you feel divine and you feel the power. As actors our constant effort is to make sure we become the character effortlessly and understand the scenes. In every interview I mention this particular scene, where Mother Sati goes from Kailash before Sati dahan. This was one scene that I actually felt that Sati was going down the stairs. So yes you feel divine energy on sets during shoot.”

Talking about Shiv Shakti, the show airs on Colors TV at 8 pm.
